This paper summarizes and analyzes the processing technology for the use of trails eucalyptus and the processing technology of rotary cut veneer. Then design the smart system of trails eucalyptus wood Veneer.This system consists of hardware part and software part. In the hardware part, we have CMOS camera, computer, shearing devices and veneer delivery devices. With the new type of roll-shear device we designed, shearing is more efficiently. In actual production practices, we indicated that the roll-shear device had a simple structure, reliable performance, low cost, and easy to control, which can ensure the shears efficiency and accuracy.In the software part, through the design of image acquisition, image processing, shears control, system settings module, using the one-way function compensation act, graph theory, segmentation and adaptive mean filtering method to deal with peeling veneer surface images, we reduced the image distortion greatly, so that the image of the peeled veneer can be transformed to computer data accurately and effectively. With the experimental results, we can find that the system can easily acquisitive the spin veneer images and digitize peeled veneer intelligent Shears in real-time.After calculation, we find that with the use of this smart system, two shearing workers can be reduced in each rotary machine. The entire pieces of veneer can improve25%and the broken veneer can make a decrease of1%. At the same time, the system has the potential to the next study on the thickness of the veneer detection, moisture detection, color and defect detection.
