With the continuous progress of science and technology, scientific and technologicalcontent of the glasses, a variety of purposes, personality, and style requirements are gettinghigher and higher. Moreover, due to the material conditions of people is getting higher andhigher and importance for eye health, wearing glasses by the idea of different, glassesupgrading shorter, the scale of production of glasses has expanded each year. Glasses industryseems to develop into an emerging industry with unlimited potential and vitality. The lensprofile measurement system is an important component of automatic CNC lens edger, itsfunction is to extract the contour of the lens and measure the size, after data processing, it isbased on the data of lens edging processing, so using digital image processing technology toextract the lens’s contour is the focus of the lens production.The image edge extraction technology is widely used in digital image processingtechnology, An image is a combination of many data, the Edge information accounted for most of it.Therefore, contour extraction and measurement play a very important role in digital imageprocessing. In this paper, we propose the system of measurement of lens contours. First imagesdenoising a series of pretreatment, then several edge detection algorithms are described in detail, to detectthe edge of the lens, finally extract the contour of the lens, study the image calibration, tocomplete the measurement of its data. lay a solid foundation for further study.This paper studies the content mainly:(1) Lens image data preprocessing, including images of the median filter, based onmathematical morphology processing and graphics gray;(2) Introduced several image segmentation methods, including the moment-preserving,Otsu and minimum error threshold segmentation method; (3) Experiments on a variety of edge detection operators and comparison;(4) Study contour tracking algorithm;(5) According to the size of the calibration to complete the processing lens contour data.The experiments show, this article use the contour extraction algorithm, extract thecontours of the lenses can be very effective. Results in full compliance with the requirementsof the subject are expected to design.
