Location based service (LBS) is very important to people’s life. The core technology of LBS is positioning. For outdoor positioning technology, there are more mature of GPS positioning and mobile communication system of positioning. For indoor positioning technology, there are many popular technologies. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. How to improve the indoor positioning accuracy is a hot topic in the current research.This paper raises a method for indoor positioning by using WIFI wireless signals auxiliary for inertial sensors localization to realize a continuous and seamless indoor localization. And based on this method of indoor location, this paper designs and implements the indoor positioning system. Inertial sensors localization uses dead reckoning method, which mainly includes three factors:step number, heading and step length. However, when one user walks, his step length is a random variable. It is difficult to get accurate step length just relying on independent intertial sensor. So, this paper puts forward to use WIFI wireless signals auxiliary positioning for dynamicly adjusting user’s step length. Meanwhile, WIFI wireless can aid for people’s position correction and wireless communication. This paper designs and realizes the indoor positioning system. And our experiments have verified that this method raised in this paper can realize a continuous, seamless and accurate indoor localization.
