The last two years, mobile communication technology has got a rapid speed development, just one year time. MID and smartphone popularize so widely and rapidly. As the most popular operation system of the smartphone, Android has occupied the largest part of the business of smartphones. And there are so many electronic communication manufactures which supply servieces and application programs for Android devices and design their own Android intelligent communication equipment that you can use the devices easily and comfortably. For the most popular mobile operation system, how to transmit real-time data, such as transmission of the real-time video data is currently the subject of extensive research on Android platform.This paper introduces a design plan to achieve the goals metioned above using XMPP protocol to process the IM and H264to encoding the real-time video data. For the real-time video transmission, the paper has not yet found a server to support the purpose systemThis paper first introduces the Android system characteristic, and further more makes a completely analysis and explanation for Andorid system, and. gives a efficient method of how to construct the application software development environment based on Android system platform. Based on this, and further more, elaborates and explaines how to use Android SDK to develop software. Also it introduces the related characteristics of Android system and the necessary software packages which is necessary for Android development environment construction and of which the version number requirements information.For real-time video transmission, we collect data from the camera video and convert it into H264format to transmit which is the important component of real-time video transmission. This paper first discusses picture and video coding and encoding format supported by the existing Android platform system, which is the starting point of the study, with the current real-time video transmission framework of Java, this paper try to make a research of how to transmit video stream consistantly and immediately. In the video server, because of the relevant material of scarcity and no more appropriate video server to choose from, so the work is arranged for the subsequent research work.For the file transfer and text communication, this paper uses the XMPP protocol framework for transmission. This paper introduces the characteristics of the XMPP protocol, and makes a for further analysis and research of XMPP protocol, based on which this paper introduces the XMPP protocol message format and XMPP protocol safety system and data encryption. On this basis, this paper introduces the server structures. This article chooses the Openfire as the XMPP protocol communication server.At last, the purpose system has been completed using Eclipse IDE, and relevant experiments has proved the effectiveneess of the system. There is a conclusion of this system at the last part of this paper and supply a reference for the follow-up research and development.
