The explosive growth of information and the continuous development of Internet technology make the the amount of WEB information turn up sharply with the ever-changing format and content. It has become very difficult for general search engines to find the specific content from the vast amount of information quickly and accurat ely. How to check the valuable information from the massive information in the inter net effectively and quickly has become the focus of attention. Vertical search engine’ s characteristics are "specialized, refined, deep". It searches the information with a spe cified topic in internet for a particular field, crowd, or demand. It also aggregates inf ormation and processes indexes, provides relevant services and valuable information. Therefore, it may improve the accuracy of users’search.With the development of electronic commerce, more and more consumers begin using B2C shopping under the premise that requires the reputation of electricity suppl iers and the quality of goods. To select cheap and affordable commodities, consumers often carry out the price comparison in their shopping. Vertical search engine’s tech nology providing information for a particular area, a particular population or a specifi ed demand and related services fit the need of the price comparison of commodities well.A mobile phone price comparison system, which goal is high-precision search, is designed based on the application of theories and techniques of vertical search. Two well-known digital power providers are selected as search target. Users are provided with search services of mobile phone price comparison by abandoning the weak cor related information. Under the comprehension of main workflows of Heritrix and rela ted techniques, we use Heritrix utilities to write crawl logic to crawl web informatio n and use HTMLParser Libraries to write logic to do the HTML parsing and inform ation extraction. Based on analysis and master of the main structure and components of Lucene as well as a detailed study of the mechanisms and principles of the inde x module and retrieval module, we program for web content index and build Spring Framework with using Ajax technology to achieve the retrieval and user interface co mponents. The price comparison system has achieved all the demands of the design. It meets the needs of the users’ price comparison and has some pratical value.
