Dynamical systems that are described by an interaction among the continuous dynamics and discrete dynamics and time delay are usually called switched delay systems. Switched delay systems are an important class of hybrid control systems. Due to the existence of the switching rule and time delay, the dynamics of switched delay systems becomes very complex. The involvement of the switching mechanism brings new insights in control and related fields. In recent years, researchers have studied switched delay systems by means of single Lyapunov function, multiple Lyapunov function, piecewise Lyapunov function, dwell time and average dwell time method and so on, and many meaningful results have obtained. Based on these results, this dissertation studies the problem of stability and robust control. The main contributions are as follow:(1) The problems of L2-gain analysis and control synthesis for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with time-delay.Sufficient conditions for exponential stability and L2gain analysis for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with time-delay are obtained using average dwell-time method. Then, a state feedback controller is designed to guarantee the corresponding close-loop sys-tems which are exponential stability with a L2gain. Moreover, the desired state feedback controller ia also obtained by solving linear matrix inequality. The result is proved to be valid by simulation at last.(2) The problem of reliable guaranteed-cost robust control for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with time-delay.The problem of the reliable weighted guaranteed-cost control for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear delay systems with actuator failures is studied. Based on average dwell time method, Sufficient condition for reliable weighted guaranteed-cost robust control is obtained. Then, reliable weighted guaranteed-cost robust controller is obtained by solving linear matrix inequality. The result is proved to be valid by simulation at last.
