Its aim is to standardize the application access to the database. For each databasevendor, must develop their own ODBC Driver, to refine the database interface layer of the productcomponents.huabase Column oriented database management system is a database software, jointly developed byTsinghua University and the Huantian company. This paper take Huabase ODBC Driver production processas an example, described odbc components in the design, development and testing work and facing majorproblems, and solutions to these questions and practice.The main work and contribution of this paper:1、This paper proposed Column oriented database management system ODBC module productionsolution, introduces its main tasks in various stages of what needs to be done, and the solution of the mainproblem.2、This paper presents the ODBC Driver version compatible solution, and has given its practiceprocess and the pseudo-code realization.3、This paper presents The DBMS data type the solution which transforms to the C type and SQL type.And has given its practice process and the pseudo-code realization.4、Presented Complex data types correlation solution in ODBC Driver. 5、Presented in ODBC Driver the handle design proposal, including its principle of design, the use ruleand Realization method.
