Technology of Virtual Mirror Image is one of the key technology of Virtual Reality, Its primarily purpose is to render the3D scene of virtual environment. It draws not only the real effect of3D Model and Its Mirror Image, but also the dynamic effect with the movement of the scene in Real-time. Virtual Mirror Image technology is mainly applied to3D scene rendering, and it has high application value in Virtual rearview mirror system, Electronic distorting etc. However, after consulting a large number of literatures, we found that there are no relevant algorithm is proposed to realize this virtual environment so far. In this paper, the concept of spherical image model is proposed, along with. The main works are as follows:(1)3D mesh model and Its spherical mirror based on triangular meshIn this algorithm, we first made a triangle mesh model of the spherical image of strict mathematical definition, and then on this basis, we obtained mirror point by calculating the point of each vertex in the model corresponds to the spherical reflector, and in the specific calculation reflection point location, we use a binary search method and discuss the convergence of iteration. In addition, in order to improve the rendering speed of the mirror model, we also raised the visibility tests of the model. The experiments show that the algorithm of generating the spherical image of the model works well, and meets real-time requirements.(2)3D mesh model and Its spherical mirror based on Fermat PrincipleIn this algorithm, we first illustrate the law of reflection in line with Fermat’s principle, according to Fermat’s principle, we propose a new method of positioning spherical mirror reflection point, and finally combined with other steps of the algorithm by the spherical mirror, we calculated the mirror point. Experiments show that this method compared with the second chapter algorithm in rendering speed does not have the advantage, but the pace is basically meet the real-time requirements, the other its spherical image effect, the algorithm provides a new idea for us to study the spherical image.(3)3D mesh model and Its spherical mirror based on the LOD technologyWe combine multiple levels of detail (Level of Details, referred to as LOD) technology thinking progressive grid research to accelerate generate the spherical image of the model, in order to enhance the real-time model of the imaging process. In this algorithm, we first introduced the idea of a progressive grid, then we give a progressive mesh data structure, then we give the model and image from the relationship agreed between the line of sight, and finally we give this acceleration method steps. The experiments show that this acceleration algorithm can not only maintain a good sense of reality but also make models render more real-time.
