The characteristic of informatization development is personal identity digitaland invisibility, how to identified a person’s identity accurately, and to protect theinformation security is one of the key social problems that we need to solve incurrent information age. The biological technology provide us the ways to solvethese problems. There are individual differences in biological feature, it is easy tocarry and not to lost easily, it fully complies with the need of recognition technologydevelopment in21st century. Among them, comparing the palm and some otherrecognition technology, it contains more information and it’s stable, easy to collect.Unless getting more comprehensive information, it also can improve the accuracy ofthe identity. Although, palmprint technology development is not so mature as thefingerprint and iris technology, but according to the characteristics of its own, palmpalmprint technology will become an important factor in biological technology inthe future.Here, according to the concrete characteristics of palmprint image, we have afurther research of key techologies in recognition system, the main research contentsinclude:1. In order to improve the accuracy of palmprint recognition system, notonly need to extract the mainline characteristic, but also need to extract theorientation feature. Here using the Steerable filters to extract the main line andorientation feature, the algorithm is simple and effective, and to improve thepalmprint recognition system of noise and the accuracy of the match.2. When thespin ROI extract variable often leads to palmprint recognition system matchingerrors occur, in order to solve this problem, the paper uses iterative closest point(ICP) algorithm. It applied before feature matching, after adjusting palmprint imagewhich needs to match by translation and revolution, through the translation, toimprove the accuracy of palmprint recognition system.In this paper, the Steerable filters can extract mainline and orientation featureone-time in the extraction process, improve the palmprint identification system ofspeed. ICP algorithm in the application of the identification can improve the accuracy.
