In general, WSN nodes deployed in a rather hostile environment, most of themwere battery-powered as it’s impossible to serve uninterruptible power supply directly, which made it hard to replace battery for them once deployed. While batterytechnology not gaining a breakthrough, reducing energy consumption of WSNworking nodes becomes the key point to extend the life cycle of them.In application layer, the main energy-saving strategy is to select a properresource scheduling mechanism. In WSN, nodes are usually deployed abundantly andredundantly in the monitoring area because of their hardware limitations. When onenode in the network suffering denial of service because of busy or insufficientmemory space, other nodes can replace it as the role of data relay to ensure the normaloperation of the data link from being scission. However, constant information changeis needed between a large number of redundant nodes, such as topology and routingstates, which will inevitably result in a load increase in the entire WSN. How toensure reliable transmission but not to waste excessive energy for that become the keyissue of the design of resource scheduling mechanism in WSN.In this paper, we first introduce the concept of queuing theory as well as its keytechnologies, then we use it to model the original resource scheduling mechanism, analyze their performance and summarize their advantages as well as theirdisadvantages through mathematical derivation and curve drawing; In order toovercome shortcomings of their application in WSN while maintaining theiradvantages, we put forward a dynamic adjust hybrid resource scheduling mechanismto employ both waiting and discarding in service nodes. In this mechanism, servicenodes’service rate are adjusted with the number of tasks dynamically, trying to savelimited energy of WSN nodes while ensure the completion of tasks to the greatestextent; Similarly, we use queuing theory to modeling and analyze the new resourcescheduling mechanism, confirming the feasibility and effectiveness of it theoretically. As to verify the new resource scheduling mechanism actually, we design andimplement WSN system software framework based on CC2430 core chip, Tsic506high precision temperature sensor chip and TSL2561T light intensity sensor chip. Then we use this framework to build a comprehensive WSN perception system with 5sensor nodes and 4 different kinds of service nodes and compare original resource scheduling mechanism with ours through arriving interval of all kinds of perceptualdata. The experiment proved that the new resource scheduling mechanism canguarantee the accuracy of the data as well as the energy saving and reach the desiredeffect.
