Twenty-first century, wireless communication network technology developme nts rapidly, and 3G era is gradually coming into people’s lives. The mobile termi nal’s value-added services have become increasingly rich. Mobile subscriber locat ion has become the demand of an urgent matter, market commercial and network optimization. Location technology is divided into a terminal-based location techn ology and network-based location technology.This paper presents a kind of location technology on GSM network side b ased on support vector regression (SVR). Compared with the traditional location technology, the new method fully makes use of SVR’s features to deal with co mplex non-linear regression problems, which is feasible for positioning.In this dissertation, the significance and relevance of technical background o f the positioning in GSM networks were introduced firstly. Some of the existin g networks positioning technology are introduced and analyzed; Then based on th e needs of parameter optimization of SVR, design and implement an improved method of parameters optimization and have a detailed study of the principle of support vector machine; Then the overall technical proposal design was put forwa rd by this dissertation, and The MR reports preprocessing, fingerprint model buil ding and structure of model training data were expatiated briefly; Finally, the fea sibility of the method was tested and analyzed with actual data. At the end of this article, the graduate study was reviewed in brief, and th e domestic mobile positioning technology application and the future market were analyzed, and problem-solving efforts were referred to.
