Design And Implementation Of Education Social Networking System

With the rapid development of Web2.0, the appearment of social network makes the way that people exchange their information more convenient. Through the social network, we can maintain more direct contact with a friend and it can also help users find their friends who lost contact. With the further evolution and development, social networking is also used in more areas.Knowledge is power and now people’s desire for knowledge is stronger and stronger. The number of people who choose distance education to continue their learning is increasing every year, and the mainform is through the Internet, the separation of teachers and students in distance learning makes the teachers difficult to obtain students’information, and this is not conducive to the improvement of teaching and the carry out of teaching support services, making the teachers more difficult to grasp students’ learning characteristics. Social network can be good to make up for the defects of which to build a communication platform between students and students, between students and teachers, deepen mutual exchanges between the students while complete the courses.This Research bases on BUPT Youth Innovation Fund project, ’research and design of social networking applications in distance education’. Put forward the idea of combin of social network and remote education platform, and set up the educational social networking platform to build a better communication platform for students and students, students and teachers. The Social networking system based on distance education platform, making up for some short comings of the teaching of modern distance education network, providing learners with a more personalized and open information learning environment, and effectively support learners to actively learning, facilitating learners’real-time communication and exchange. The educational social network platform proposed in this paper is php+mysql+flash, including two aspects:the establishment and maintenance of the background database, and the development of front-end application.
