The coming of Mobile-Internet Era marks that the further integration of Communications and Internet technology is greatly strengthened. In the future, the development of communications is services-oriented, which is to meet increasingly personalized and dynamic services from the needs of users. Optical network, as the transportation network, must be able to adapt to the future trend of the communications industry. The development of optical network not only considers the high-bandwidth, large capacity optical transmission, but also more focuses on the multi-layer and multi-domain optical networks. In the driving of the new network and mass personalized services, the management and control model in the future optical network will be the paid more attention, which is the main content of this paper.In this paper, in regard to the trend of multi-layer and multi-domain optical networks, we introduce the distributed optical network architecture based the coordination of the management and control, and give specific research and summary about the theory of the coordination of the management and control. Then, we introduce the mobile agent technology to strengthen the dynamic interaction of the control and management plane which greatly improves the efficiency of the network management.This paper is under the sport of the major state projects, such as National High Technology Research and Development Program (863)-" Optical Network Fast Connection and Resource Optimistic Based Distributed Coordination of Management and Control", ZTE communications Co., Ltd. joint research project-"The MRN & MLN unified multi-granularity control plane technology" and so on, completing the following related work.1. Detailed presentation of the trend of the multi-layer multi-domain optical networks is given in the paper, and theexistent network management and control pattern is also provided. In order to meet the needs of dynamical,real-time and personal services, the research of the novel and efficient network management and control is paid more attention.2. Specific research the theory of the coordination of the management and control and introduce the optical network architecture integrated the mobile agent technology which implements the collaboration of manage-control plane.3. A novel dynamic clustering scheme based on coordination of management and control is introduced to improve the blocking performance of hierarchical routing in Multi-layer and Multi-region intelligent optical network and theperformance of the scheme is assessed and verified on the simulation platform.4. Design and build multi-layer multi-domain intelligent optical network test platform (MSPON), including network management system, 80 virtual optical Node and associated control plane protocol stack to achieve a multi-layer multi-domain optical network management and control functions, and complete the scheme verification about improving the blocking performance of hierarchical routing.
