Wavelet packet modulation (WPM) as a new multi-carrier modulation technique is concernedwith people greatly for its good property of high spectral efficiency, good confidentiality,anti-interference, and so on. WPM can split up the channel into sub-channels at will, which leads tothe diversity of WPM structure, so select optimal tree from a number of WPM tree structuresquickly become the main problems of the research. In this work, combined the telecommunicationfeature, from the point of inter-symbol interference(ISI)、inter-carrier interference(ICI) andpeak-to-average power ratio(PAPR) impact on the structure, this thesis discusses the optimization ofthe wavelet packet modulation tree structure.1.With the background of basic theory of wavelet packet transform, the theory and implementof the WPM have been given, and introduces the concept of the equivalent filters.2. In the view of reduce interference, presents a step optimization from the point of reduce theISI and ICI. Analysis the impact to ISI and ICI of different form of wavelet packet tree structure andinterference causes, realizes the optimal for WPM structure according to the power of interferenceand least mean square. The simulation results show that optimum wavelet packet tree has simplestructure and good performance.3. The optimal WPM structure is searched to reduce the joint of PAPR and interferencepowers(integrated power of ISI and ICI). Different wavelet packet tree structure have different peakto average power ratio, then each tree node selected frequency statistics can obtained by simulation,so as to realize the screening of the structure to the wavelet packet tree, then, calculation theinterference power, finally complete the optimization of the tree structure. The simulation resultsshow that PAPR and interference are comprehensive considering optimal scheme better than singleconsider hand optimal scheme in the performance of the system.
