Along with the social security demand unceasing increase, biometricauthentication products have hitherto unknown development. Due to its ownadvantages, although the finger vein recognition technology research started later, ithas gradually become the new research hotspot of biometric technology. But becauseof the particularity of social security system, it still exists two problems in the use offinger vein recognition technology: one is that our country is still in the research stage,did not master the international advanced level of algorithm; two is the complexity ofsocial security system, Hitachi finger vein technology cannot fully satisfy the specialdemand. In order to apply finger vein recognition technology to the country’s socialsecurity information management system, the main work of this paper focuses on thefollowing aspects:First, through the comparison of various biometric identification technologies, weput forward the finger vein recognition technology applied in social security system.At the same time we research on the finger vein recognition technology, and theequipment selection principle.Secondly, proceed with finger vein image recognition process, elaborated thefinger vein image processing in various parts of the algorithm, mainly on four aspects:finger localization, normalization, image segmentation and feature extraction andmatching. Research the domestic and international recognition algorithm must be thebasis of the analysis. From the advantages, the process of identification algorithms aresystematically studied, thesis writing process to establish a relatively complete set offinger vein image processing algorithm. From advanced of domestic and foreignimage processing algorithms, mainly studies the vein image threshold segmentation,feature extraction and matching. First through the contrast of four kinds of typicalthreshold segmentation method, then introduce improved multi threshold image areextracted from venous contour. The experimental results show that the improvedalgorithm can quickly and accurately extract the vein image. Finally, I based on therelative distance and angle of the details of the geometric feature extraction andmatching methods, and through experiments to verify.Finally, under the background of social security system, we package the fingervein recognition technology into vein recognition platform, and used finger veinrecognition algorithm in the platform. Then we have carried on the demand analysis,design and implementation.The completed system and algorithm in this paper has certain social benefits and economic benefits, and has been pilot operated in Shandong Province. Through theuse of finger vein recognition technology to further improve the social security fund iscorrect operation; prevent illegal operation and claim of accident.
