Ad Hoc network is formed by a group of autonomous nodes without any preexistence of a fixed network infrastructure. The characteristics of the nodes’ mobility and flexible make it popular in different application fields such as rescue missions, military operations, etc. But a lack of central administration entity makes the existing security solutions not applicable to Ad Hoc networks. In addition, the characteristics of open medium and dynamic topology make it vulnerable to several attacks. Hence, providing secure solutions for Ad Hoc networks is a challenging task. The access control is a important part of the security in Ad Hoc networks. Therefore, the research on access control is very important. The dissertation mainly focuses on the access control of Ad Hoc and the main work are outlined as follows:(1) After ana lysing the exist member control solutions, this paper presents a new membership control scheme for cluster-based Ad Hoc networks. This scheme is based the clusters. We use the symmetric polynomial to establish the key pairs for the members to communication with each others, which reduce the interactive of the peers and enhance security, and complete the nodes join and removal. The scheme has lower communication flow and higher security.(2) Presents a new resources access control scheme for Ad Hoc networks. The new scheme classify the resources and nodes into levels to provide differentiated privileges access control. A dynamic access control mechanism is implemented based on the simple effective trust model and incentive mechanism which can change the node’s privilege. We develop the cluster-head proxy to access the resource that enhance security and fully utilize the quality resources.(3) We simulate the process of the access control for Ad Hoc networks based-on the use of network simulation software, NS2. Test the admission time, the flow of the communication and the efficiency of the access. The simulation results show that this mechanism has high access efficiency, low communication flow and high success rate in solution access.
