At present, data storage security issues of computer information systems and ne-twork virtual environment as well as data transmission anti-theft and anti-tamperingproblem increasingly attracted widespread attention. As a kind of daily communicationtool, e-mail has become an important platform for the dissemination of information.e-mail system as a carrier of email, which is the core of data-storage and transmission,is an important object of digital information protection. The security of the mail sys-tem will directly affect the security of personal privacy and property. E-mail system byadding encryption technology, which is an important means to improve e-mail systemsecurity.On the basis of the research and analysis of e-mail system encryption strategy, wesummarized the basic requirements for encrypted e-mail system. Combining proxy re-encryption scheme with the SSH architecture, we build a new secure e-mail system implementations. In the scheme, the public key-encrypted message and related sensitive data isstored in a data base, and take the sender and the recipient name as the main keys of transmission and preservation. According to the security needs of the users, we make use of anone-way hash function to reduce the number of keys and save storage space.Finally, in a standalone environment, we build the mail system prototype by the javavirtual machine and the tomcat server software, and evaluate the effect of the running sys-tem and its capability.
