The development of the rapid development of vehicle technology and road trafficvehicles have gradually entered the family, play an increasingly important role inpeople’s daily lives. The development and popularity of the car at the same time bringgreat convenience to people’s lives, but also led to traffic congestion, environmentalpollution, traffic accident-prone and other social problems, and urge all developedcountries on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Intelligent Vehicle the study. Theroad marking recognition system as an important subsystem of intelligent vehicle,occupies an important position in the automatic control of the vehicle or driver assistancesystems to protect people and property and life safety aspects of road markingrecognition system is also of great significance.In this paper, the road marking recognition algorithm on the FPGA system. In roadmarking detection algorithm, in turn introduced the image edge detection algorithm andregion segmentation algorithm, and then focus introduced in this paper binding Maxwellcolor triangle color image segmentation algorithm, will be collected from the color imagesegmentation binary image which yellow and white points for the prospects point of thebackground of other colors; marking recognition algorithm, first introduced the principleof the Hough transform to detect straight line, and then be simplified for the specificapplication of road marking detection, the Hough transform, it suitable for running on theFPGA system to ensure real-time system.Introduction to algorithm describes how the FPGA system identification of theroad marking. The system consists of the BM-600CCD camera and T3C25-V6FPGAdevelopment board.The software design is divided into image acquisition, recognitionand image of the marking three parts, the image acquisition part of the CCD camera tothe analog image digitized and converted to24-bit RGB format images, the identificationpart of the marking image segmentation and Hough transform to identify roadmarkingline, and finally by the image acquisition part surface image and the recognitionresult display.The experiments described in this article Road Marking Recognition Systemduring the day on the road marking recognition, the results are accurate; the use ofparallel computing features of FPGA system, the system real good.
