To identify the image on the target, it is necessary to use the image feature extraction,image features in the image field is an important research direction. Image feature extractionnot only can be used for image recognition, but also can be used for image registration, imagesegmentation, image mosaic and other aspects.The research and implementation of digital image feature extraction and edge featureextraction. The point feature extraction based on Moravec operator, Harris operator, Forstneroperator and SUSAN operator was experimented by the detection results, at the same time ontheir performance and applicability of analysis and research. In edge feature extraction mainlyrealize the Roberts operator, Sobel operator, Prewitt operator, LOG operator and Cannyoperator detection results, but also on the five operators are analyzed and compared.On feature point detection, of the Harris operator puts forward two different methods,adding Gauss function differential as the filtering window, the window can be adjustedmanually, was improved, than those obtained by using the gradient operator to detect betterresults.With the development of image processing accuracy continues to improve, to image edgedetection precision requirements are also rising, the existing edge detection operators aremostly pixel level, which in many cases is far from enough, in order to improve the precisionof edge detection, proposed sub-pixel edge detection, this paper realized based on Cannyoperator two degree polynomial interpolation method for sub-pixel edge feature extraction.
