With the development of computer performance, the plane is becoming more and morecomplicated. China’s aviation industry system proposed the “Aircraft Digital Design&ManufactureEngineering (ADDME)” design concept, in order to improve efficiency of plane design. Under thisbackground, our group has built a primary digital design and development platform before, with thecore of Rhapsody and Simulink. The article study how to achieve reuse of engineering design basedon the platform. The main contents of this article are as follows:First, the feasibility of the reuse of the project in the digital design and development platform isstudied, based on analysis of the software architecture and data model in the platform. Pointing outthe abuse that reuse design can’t be achieved effectively solely relying on the design environment, thearticle showed the necessary developing Model Management System.Second, the article studied how to get project model from Model Management System, or how toget model data from project described file. It proposed data structure and separation algorithms forextracting information from project described file, while the extraction didn’t destroy the originalinformation structure.Again, the article designed the database for saving model data, which obtained from thedescribed file, and designed client for operating the data, which included Case Model, Static Model,and Interact Model, and so on.Finally, the article achieved the control logic for the UAV Predator Ⅱ longitudinal flight controlsystem motion from reusing control logic for Predator longitudinal flight control system motion,based on the model association which comes from the Model Management System. And it validatesthe performance of the model management system by the design results of Predator Ⅱ flight controlsystem.Proven, Predator Ⅱ flight control system designed meets the user’s requirements; also verify thatthe model management system can effectively manage model data in the digital development platform,and tap the potential reusable information to guide the designer complete the project re-design. And itprovided an important supporting role for the project reusability in digital design platform.
