Because the textile industry is low value-added. The products of textile industry have a labor-intensive. So we need to improve new technology and develop new technology to produce competitive products. At present the cross-stitch decorative products have wide prospect of market. But lack of technology that let cross-stitch decorative industrialized production. In this paper, the starting point is the automation production of cross-stitch products. The study platform is cross-stitch robot. The purpose is to perform double-sided process of cross-stitch. The foundation is machine vision technology. Researching the intelligent identification and tracking of pinhole in the process of the cross-stitch robot trending.The research of location and tracking to embroidering cloth pinhole concentrates on two aspects. One is pinhole target localization. The other is pinhole movement target tracking. Introduced the overall architecture of cross-stitch robot platform and the system principle of pinhole location and tracking in machine vision. Based on the software platforms of VC and OpenCV, realized the application of machine vision. Through the process of image preprocessing, image analysis and the characteristics analysis of target. Completed the location and tracking of embroidered cloth pinhole.Through compared different methods of image processing and tested different methods of image analysis, extracted the characteristics of target in image. Through the result of different processing and analysis method, ascertained integrated solution method that suitable for embroidered cloth pinhole goal.Based on space point positioning principle, detailed introduced the processes of space coordinate transformation and target extraction. Through the follow-up processing of space conversion. Extracted the center position of embroidery needle target and embroider hole target. Completed the positioning of pinhole target. At the same time, through compared different target detection methods. Ascertained comprehensive test methods of apply to the cross-stitch robot. Detailed analysis different target tracking algorithm and improved some algorithm to ensure that the system could fast and accurate to track the pinhole goal.Finally, got the results of location and tracking that based on embroidery cloth pinhole goal. Analysis the relationship between calculation results and practical position of embroidering cloth movement.
