To the analysis and further development of straight-racket-hit skill of tabletennis, visual simulation is established to help finding its character throughcomparing with straight racket backhand skill. To overcome such flaws asunable to exert enough force and difficult to determine a strike point, anoptimal angle to achieve the skill is got through analyzing force of differentangle of wrist and forearm. Through analyzing the visual simulation ofmechanical arm, a systematic theory is established to orient the training ofstraight-racket-hit skill.Firstly, the development of serial robot technology is introduced in thispaper. Based on former studies, the performance index theory of serialmechanism is reviewed and analyzed. The collision detection algorithm whichis essential in the simulation system of straight-racket-hit is analyzed, and anoptimal algorithm is selected. Based on the study of real human arm, the designplan is humanoid arm mechanism is given.Secondly, using serial robot theory, the simulation of sevendegree-of-freedom humanoid arm mechanism is established; the presentdevelopment of mechanical arms in the field of Robots and several steps inmaking3D mechanical arm simulation model that should be paid moreattention to and lay emphasis on is given. By analyzing the DOF of existinghumanoid arm mechanism, the optimal arm model is selected to simulate thestraight-racket-hit action. The simulation of the optimal arm model isestablished.Thirdly, after the analysis of Ping-Pong scene by dividing module, themodel is established and the simulation is given. By analyzing the features ofdifferent3D-model format, the MD2and MDL3D-model format is chosenrespectively to simulate different scene modules, and then the modules is assembled.Finally, the results of theoretical data base can be gained by comparingstudy of the application of virtual mechanical arm and virtual table tennis scenewith shake-hands grip backhand movement.
