Abstract/Summary:
Recent years, with the development of image processing and video processingtechnology,image-based fire detection system has been applied more and more widely, andhas played an important role in the field of fire prevention.Compared with the traditionalfire detection methods, video-based fire detection technology has remarkable advantagessuch as fast response, wide detection range, and little environment pollution, and it canbe used for the fire detection in high buildings, and even outdoor environment. Accordingto blurring model and diffuse model of smoke, this paper researched and completed thesmoke detection system based on ARM embedded, including smoke detection、videotransmission and the monitor port.Firstly, we used the smoke detection method based on the video and imageprocessing technology.At first,using Kalman filter to update the background of image, andthen using four-connected retrieval to extract moving regions and find the border of therectangle which contains the movement area of the image. At last using DWT and opticalflow method to detecte smoke based on fuzzy and diffusion model of the smoke. In thispaper, and the results show that the methods can accurately exatract the rectangularboundaries of the area that contained the motion area in the image, and are able toeffectively extract the fuzzy and diffusion feature of smoke.Secondly, Based on OK6410 experimental board, the smoke detection system isdesigned and realized in Linux operating system. The image captured by CMOS camerasis processed through the smoke detection algorithm to detect smoke, then compresses theimage contained smoke to .jpg file according to JPEG algorithm and send to the monitorport through the GPRS module. In addition, the system interface is designed in Qtplatform, which is not only facilitates the parameter settings ,but also provides moreflexbility for the detection of control system.Finally, this paper introduces the principle of GPRS ,in Linux operating systemcompletes the function of transfering picture file on network through GPRS module, andthe moniter interface is completed with VC++ 6.0 in PC to receive and display the picture. The experiments showed that the smoke detection system can make the detected picturetransfer accurately to the monitor.
