As a special multi-carrier communication, Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) realizes the high speed data transmission in the wireless system which combats the symbol interference (ISI) effectively, and improves the utilization rate of frequency spectrum due to sub-channel orthogonality. The pilot-symbol-aided channel estimation is usually used to obtain the accurate statistics of channel in OFDM system. This paper studies several kinds of channel estimation methods and solutions of restrain intercarrier interference(ICI), and proposes a algorithm of channel estimation based-on ICI self-cancellation.The specific scheme of pilot-symbol-aided(PSA) channel estimation is drawed up according to the result of study and simulation, including the pilot sequences and the pattern, the estimation criterion of the pilot symbols and the interpolation algorithm. The loss of sub-channel orthogonality due to time-variant multipath channels leads to inter-channel interference (ICI) which increases the error of channel estimation. In this paper, a algorithm of channel estimation based-on ICI self-cancellation is proposed, in which the datas are modulated and demodulated in transmitter and receive side respectively.The results show that the scheme proposed has robust anti-inter-carrier interference, guarantees the accuracy of channel estimation.
