As a new and attractive communication technology, cooperative communication, even having a mobile terminal with a single antenna, offers as much benefit on diversity as that of a MIMO system. Channel codes, also as know as error control codes, are used to reduce bit error rate and improve the reliability of digital communication by adding redundancy to the information sequence. LDPC codes become a hotpot in channel coding research recently due to Shannon’s capacity approaching performance with low coding and decoding complexity. Coded cooperative communication can attain higher diversity gain and lower symbol error probability. To design an LDPC-Coded cooperation with excellent system performance is significant both in theory and applications. The main contributions of the thesis are basically summarized as follows:1. Simulated the encoding and decoding of LDPC codes in BIAWGN channel by C++ and studied its performance.2. Proposed a regular LDPC coded relay cooperation with its joint iterative decoding technique according to the joint Tanner graph. The simulation results showed outstanding system performance.3. Proposed an irregular systematic LDPC-coded multi relays cooperation with joint iterative decoding technique, simulated by C++ and analyzed its performance.4. Carried out the transformation of the ideal cooperative communication of the single relay channel to the point-to-point communication by defining the average signal to nosie ratio , and compared their performance .As expected, the performance of them are almost the same, which provides important basis for our objective that we can treat the code optimization of the regular-LDPC-coded cooperative communication by using the existing conclusion of the regular-LDPC-coded point-to-point communication.
