Known as the fine tradition of respecting the teacher and education, the Korean National ancients, began to crave in the education with its ingoing. Before the founding of the nation, it has formed the national education system which is from the primary education to higher education’s education, walking in front row in national education of our country. The Korean education is typical and particularity in our national education. The history of the education development indicates the Korean people’s understanding and what they want to obtain from it. It is the demand of education determines the value orientation of national education and outlines the expectation in a certain period. Of course, the education value orientation is varying according to the development of society, political system, development of economic construction as well as the improvement of people’s living standard.Regarding the vertical development of the Korean education as the main line and through the factors involving in the changing environment, this paper emphatically discusses the education value orientation of social transition and existing problems, and based on this, this paper discusses the construction of the value orientation in Korean National education of the new time, attempts to provide the theoretical research mentality for the Korean National education’s Survival and national culture’s inheritance, it also provides one kind of new vision for our country education’s reform and development, and develops research area of the national education.This paper altogether has five chapters, The first chapter is the introduction, the main purpose of this topic and research methods.The second chapter, which is the first part of the main text, mainly elaborated the historical review of Korean National education’s development process and value orientation before the founding of the nation and after he founding of the nation (before the reform and open policy). The Korean National education in china, is under the special historical perspective of losing the country power in North Korea, rised quietly in the Northeast Korean National community, not only needs to be satisfied with individual development need of "sets up the body to praises" moreover must shoulder the political mission of Anti-Japanese movement for national independence. Therefore, in its value orientation, besides of having the general character with other national education development, also appears the particularity of Korean nation in the ’nationality is supreme, politics is supreme’. After the founding of the nation, the Korean National education integrates to Chinese education, under "the ultra-left" and under Great Cultural Revolution’s specific society historical, lays undue stress on the education utilizable value namely "the education serves for politics" the function, considerate very little the education of the individual development need, the education’s economical function and the national culture’s inheritance function, it causes the deviation between the Korean National education and the normal development track of national education.The third chapter discusses the value orientation choices (confuses) in social transition and its existing problems. Since the reform and opening-up, along with the economic structure’s change and Social reforming’s aggravating, the Korean education is faced with many new challenges and choice, causing the multiplication of the value orientation of education. In the Choice of general and nationality, Social standard and individual standard, Utilizable value and sense of purpose value and so on, derives the question of eager for quick success and immediate gain utilitarianism, excessive pursue homogenization, national language culture aphasia and so on, Urgently awaits the people to Carefully examine and integrate the national education and the value orientation again.The fourth chapter deeply expounded the value orientation of modern Korean education, namely, taking the existing characteristics of the Korean education first, and then expounding the specific ways and ideas in the new period of constructing the value orientation.The fifth chapter reviews the main topic of this paper, that is the value orientation of the longitudinal changes, the transition factors and problems involving in the value orientation, the reconstruction of the value orientation in the new period.
