| The economic development, social growth, improvement of people’s lives and the innovation of P. E. in higher education of our country have provided a broad prospect for the development of sporting associations in higher education. As an important organizational form of extracurricular sports activity and an integral part of sports associations of undergraduates, sporting associations in higher education play an important role in spreading sports culture on campus, enriching students’sports activities outside class, putting education for all-round into practice, fostering athletes and backbones in common people, further perfecting the structure of organization and management of P. E. in school, promoting healthy and all-round development of P. E. in school.The article uses sports associations of higher education in Guangxi as the research background, and uses Guangxi University, Guangxi Normal University, Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi University of Technology and Hechi University as research objects. Based on questionnaire, it makes analysis and research on the aspects of concept characteristics, classification, organization and management, proceeding method, proceeding details, affects and developing countermeasure with the combination of documentary analysis, interview and data statistics. The result shows that sports association in higher education is organized and managed by students voluntarily. They are non-profitable student unions abiding by the statue. In order to realize the common will, they take sports activities as the form, improving the sports skill and enriching the extra curricula as their goal. With the deepening of reform of P. E. in higher education, every association and organization takes an important position in extracurricular sports activities and constructing harmonious campus in higher education. It plays a positive role which can’t be underestimated in P. E. teaching, physical training, sports competition, educating undergraduates the life long physical culture and improving development of individuals. The rapid development of higher education and P. E. make progress to the growth of sports association in higher education strongly, and sports association in higher education also makes great achievements. However, the existing problems as followed are not allowed to be neglected:1. The system is imperfect.2. The involvement rate of sports association is not high enough.3. The content of activity is singular and the form of activity is simple.4. The outlay of sports association can’t be guaranteed.5. Lack of professors’guidance.6. The support of relative departments is not enough.The article makes countermeasures and suggestions as followed based on the problems in current investigation of sports association in higher education in Guangxi.Ⅰ. Countermeasures:1. Fully understand the position and role that sports association in higher education plays in P. E.2.Increase promotion, establish associations and enlarge them.3.Further improve and perfect the management system, and increase the legal system of associations.4. Manage the outlay strictly and raise capital through multiple channels.5. Build brand name association and spread the affects of the association.6.Start clubs of sports extra curricula and improve the ability of self-operation.7.Take national traditional sports as lead in starting sports associations with characteristics actively.8.Establish necessary pre-warning system.
