Doctoral students,being at the highest level of education, are of a high orientationand strong achievement motivates.With the development of education reform,the numberof recruitment of doctoral students has increased year by year.The doctoral studentpopulation is also gradually expanding in scale.In the current international environment,China’s economy is developing rapidly,its employment competition intensifying,and thesocial culture changing.Changes in education,employment,and other aspects of life bringmultiple pressures to doctoral students,this pressure will undoubtedly produce intensepsychological conflicts within students,greatly influencing their mental health.In recentyears,because of this pressure,doctoral students’ suicide have occurred from time totime,the media has reported frequently on some extreme cases of tragedy.Not only havethese tragedies ruined the doctoral students’ lives and futures and given irreparable painto their relatives,but they also negatively affect the campus’s social harmony,leading to asignificant loss of national talent.The psychological quality and health of students shouldbe considered as a great importance to the social wellbeing of schools.But,in the modernresearch,researchers have often paid more attention to the mental health ofundergraduates,with the mental health of doctoral students largely being ignored.Therefore,it is necessary to:understand and analyze the status of doctoral students’mental health and its influence factors,propose some countermeasures and suggestions totheir effectiveness to improve the psychological health education of doctoral students,reduce psychological problems caused by the deviation of vicious incidents,promote andmaintain doctoral psychology,improve the psychological health of doctoral studentsconstantly.To ensure scientific and effective research results,this study is based on aquestionnaire survey of doctoral students’ mental health status, carried out throughin-depth analysis of survey data which reveals the main psychological problems ofdoctoral students at present.On this basis, the influencing factors of doctoral students’psychological problems are comprehensively analyzed. Finally,to improve the mentalhealth of doctoral students and strengthen psychological health education,some practicalcountermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The specific content of each part are asfollows: The first part of the paper is an an empirical study on doctoral students’psychological health status.On the basis of the survey data and in comparison to previousstudies,the conclusion is that,on the whole, the mental health status of students at thisstage is good,but there are some instances of psychological problems for minoritydoctoral students.The second part analyzes the main influence factors of doctoral students’ mentalhealth.The factors affecting the psychological health of doctoral students are discussed indetail and are based in the following four aspects:individual,social, family,and school.The third part discusses the countermeasures that may be used to strengthen thepsychological education of doctoral students.On the one hand, doctoral students can betrained to strengthen their psychological self-adjustment abilities.On the other hand,schools can improve and perfect their psychological health education programs,which isdiscussed in many aspects.
