In January2012, the ministry of education formally promulgated the compulsoryeducation of the geography curriculum standards (2011edition)". Course properties ofthe new curriculum standard, curriculum ideas, curriculum design and curriculum goal,curriculum content and the implementation Suggestions etc are changed. With thepromulgation of the new geography course standard, the nine years compulsoryeducation geography textbooks also must adapt to new changes.
