Secondary vocational education is the vocational skill education to cultivate the skilledtalents, and these senior and high professional technical personnel are the main army of themotherland construction, and also the irreplaceable and indispensable backbone. Thedevelopment of the economy, the progress of the society, and the construction of ourmotherland have put the higher and higher demand to the senior vocational skilled talents.With the enrollment expansion of colleges, the employment pressure is increasing, and thegold-blue collar has been in short supply in enterprise recruitment, but the college graduatescan not find a job. The parents and the community gradually increase the understanding ofsecondary vocational schools, and our country vigorously develops the vocational education,also continues to lower the barriers to enrollment of secondary vocational schools, so thequality of the students is different. As an important source of new labor, the ideological andmoral standards of secondary vocational school students largely affect the team’s overallmoral level of the employees. Schools, as the most direct teaching spaces, and teachers, as themost direct actors in education, their roles of the ideological and political education to thestudents can not be replaced. However, at present, in secondary vocational school, theideological and political work has many problems, including lagging ideas, stale content,single method, imperfect system, and the lack of professional team building, etc. This paper,through the exploration to the function of the music education in the ideological and politicaleducation in secondary vocational schools, aims to innovate the ideological and politicaleducation of secondary vocational schools in the new carrier, and make the ideological andpolitical education more targeted, effective, and attractive, practically to help the vocationalstudents develop comprehensively and healthily. With the background of the music educationin secondary vocational schools and the front-line practical experience of the ideological andpolitical moral education work, some practical valuable countermeasures are put forward tothe ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools. In view of thestructure, this article is divided into five parts: The first part is an introduction, a briefintroduction to the article’s research background, significance and domestic and foreignresearch status. The second part gives an overview of the music education, the ideological andpolitical education, and secondary vocational education. The third part, the current musiceducation status of secondary vocational schools and its play to the ideological and political education are analyzed, is also one of the focus of this article. The fourth part, the existingproblem of combining the music education with the ideological and political education insecondary vocational schools is analyzed. The fifth part, the key point is on how to takemeasures to give full play of the music education to the ideological and political education,and raises some targeted countermeasures, which is the second focus of this article.
