The Role Of Likert Scale In Civilized Index Survey

Likert scale’s design is relatively simple and easy to operate. Scale investigationhas the features of high efficiency, good reliability, easy implement,etc. It is widely usedin the field of social science research,especially in the fields of psychology, sociologyand pedagogy.This paper systematically describes the content of the Likert scale,includingprinciple, design, survey and data analysis. The author of this paper actually participatedin a survey——the public civilization index investigation in Suzhou New District.Bythis example, author analyzes the reliability,validity and other aspects of thequestionnaire. Analyses of validity and reliability show that the entire questionnaire canbe divided into four parts, and each part of the subject has very good consistency.Analyses of data show that: the topics are independent of each other; there are somedifferences of attitudes between men and women in the survey; they need to improveliving environment and public behavior.
