A piece of chalk, a blackboard, a book and the teacher’s mouth, which belong to the"spoon-feeding" teaching mode, are relatively dull. Coupled with the long passed historyitself, the complex history textbook content, if there is not effective teaching methods toincrease students’ interest, the history class is only a pool of stagnant water, without anyvitality. If the students have no interest in history, and are not willing to learn, the activeclassroom atmosphere, harmonious relationship between teachers and students and goodteaching result will lose support.In the new curriculum reform tide, more and more teachers have recognized thedisadvantages of traditional teaching mode, and began to explore better teaching mode.Situational teaching method with its unique charm, knowledge, emotion, consciousness andbehavior, has become an important teaching method for many teachers in the classroomteaching of history. For students, it can arouse students’ learning interest and thirst forknowledge and inspire students to think, to cultivate the abilities of analysis, summary,description of historical information. And through the teacher-student interaction, it promotesstudents’ emotional experience, and finally promote students all-round development. Forteachers, the principle that teaching benefits teachers as well as students works. Thus,teachers’ quality and professional level and moral cultivation have also been greatly improved.As for the teaching effect, it makes the classroom atmosphere more active and can also set upan equal, democratic relationship between teachers and students. Besides, this method alsolead to a better performance in the students’ exams, creating a win-win result betweenteachers and students.This paper takes Wei fang middle school as an example, to explore situational historyteaching method and its advantages and existing problems. Based on those problems, thepaper put forward some effective suggestions. Wei fang middle school created "the Trinity"humanistic teaching model in the exploration of the teaching method, which focuses much onclassroom research settings. When setting the context of chain, the teachers must fully preparethe curriculum, textbook and students as well, on the basis of which to set the situation for thepresupposition, making classroom teaching smoothly and efficiently. Through theinvestigation and analysis, the implementation of situational teaching method in high school history teaching can improve the students’ interest in learning, training students’ ability ofhistorical thinking, promoting teachers’ professional level and teaching of the successfulcompletion of the task. Some deficiencies are also found in the investigation. In order to solvethese problems in the future teaching, we should increase the degree of attention to thesituation teaching method, the creation of situational teaching in practice to constantly explore,make it better for students, teaching service.The thesis is organized as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, mainly including the method and significance ofwhy we have to study this topic and the research status at home and abroad.The second chapter mainly interprets the concept of situation teaching method and theteaching basis in the classroom teaching methods.The third chapter takes Wei fang middle school students and teachers as the researchobject to investigate of the present situation of the situational history classroom teachingmethod. Through the investigation and analysis, we found that the implementation ofsituational teaching method in history teaching of high school is a universal phenomenonwhich plays an important part in the cultivation of students’ ability and emotion, in theimprovement of teachers’ professional level.The fourth chapter elaborates the situation of high school history classroom teachingmethod’s advantages and disadvantages, and to explore its causes.The fifth chapter put forward some effective strategies for the improvement of thisteaching method.Situational teaching method is widely applied in history teaching of high school and,although there are some imperfections, it will be more adapted to the requirements of the newcurriculum reform through the teachers practice and research making class more vital andcharming,.
