It is an essential part of instruction that doing deeply research andanalysis of teaching materials. Only in this way can we perfect and further theideal of education to improve the teaching ability. The reform of teachingmaterials has an important meaning in the whole reform of new curriculum. Itshows its practical model effect as well as the general spirit.As a subject based on scientific facts, chemical experiments attractmore and more attention. At present, the New Senior Chemistry for ChinaStudent’s Books published by People’s Education Press have been used forfive years since2007, which are based on the standard of new senior highschool students’ chemistry. There are evident differences between the newbook and the previous book published in2003by People’s Education Press.Among them, the differences in the experiment part are the most obvious ones,such as the quantity of experiments, its setting, the choose of content and theway they express new theory.Meanwhile, the new book added, improved and delate someexperiments. What practical significance will it have? Deep discussion onthese questions will benefit both the research of teaching materials and itsapplication to senior chemistry teaching process. This dissertation will doresearch on and analyze the new book, explain its new concept and pay moreattention to the usage of experiments in teaching chemistry. Besides, based onthe example of New Senior Chemistry for China Student’s Books andCurriculum Standards, this dissertation will compare the content of them. Andmake a analysis about the experiments the forms, quantity and expression, aswell as the primary statistics and analysis of the increase, improvement anddelate in the new book so that it can show its characteristics.At last, this dissertation offers the suggestions about how to improve the teaching materials as well as the way to teach it. It includes strengtheningthe safety of experiments and the communication between the users andadding quantitative experiments. In addition, it also suggests that weemphasis on the function of experimental education, combine several parts ofthe book, and develop the teachers’ ability of exploring new teaching sourcesof experimental education of chemistry.The research shows that the New Senior Chemistry for China Student’sBooks have met the requirements of and Curriculum Standards and theSchema. The new books are focus on the development of students’ scientificsense and their abilities of doing research so that we can achieve the finalpurpose that educating more and more students to meet the requirement of thenew age. Apart from those above, there will still be some places need to beimproved.
