Since2008, Quality-oriented Education has set off around of the new curriculum reformwave, which encourages the students to take an active part in the activities in class andadvocates the teachers playing a leading role. The new curriculum reform strongly calls onthe teachers to instruct the students to learn knowledge and put it into practice by activeparticipation,exploration, exchanges and cooperation among the students and the teachers.Learning-plan Method of Teaching is a new teaching model in this education concept. It takesthe learning plans for the carrier. In the process of teaching,students’ autonomic learning andteachers’ guidance could be significantly combined, which strengthens the students’subjective status and makes students learn how to learn English effectively. As we know, theaim of English Revision Lesson is to establish the students’ knowledge system, form thinkingability gradually, develop their awareness and ability of autonomous learning and foster thestudents’ overall language ability. The study makes an attempt to prove that theimplementation of the autonomous learning plans of English revision lesson in Senior HighSchool can achieve the mentioned aims.To make a thorough study of the status quo of the autonomous learning plans of Englishrevision lesson in Senior High School, the research based on the rich literature reviewintroduces and analyzes the study of the autonomous learning plans of English revisionlesson in Senior High School,setting the focus and innovations of the research eventually.What’s more, by absorbing the advanced educational theories, Humanistic Theory andConstructivism Theory are elaborated in brief. Further more, based on the survey of the statusof students in class13and class14of Grade Three by the way of questionnaires andinterviews, finding that some serious problems exist about the students’ autonomous learning:The students are lack of the awareness of autonomous learning and autonomous learningstrategies, and their learning habits remain to be improved.With the problems above, the author puts forward the autonomous learning plans ofEnglish revision lesson in Senior High School by combining the students’ learning situationand guiding ideas of new course theory, exerting the principal role of students’ learning and teachers’ leading role, improving their comprehensive language using ability.To test implementation of the autonomous learning plans of English revision lesson inSenior High School is effective, the author chooses the students in class13and class14forthe experiment. During the experiment, Class14adopts the autonomous learning plans ofEnglish revision lesson while Class13still makes use of traditional teaching method. Afterthe experiment, the original survey has been carried out again. In the meanwhile, the scoresbefore and after the experiment in the two classes are compared, showing that proving thatthe implementation of the autonomous learning plans of English revision lesson in SeniorHigh School improves the autonomous learning ability of the students, changes the learningstyles, improves the habits of learning, improves the level of the review in Senior Three andstrengthens the ability of self evaluation of the students. In other words, autonomous learningplans of English revision lesson in Senior High School stresses the emphasis of the students’subjective status. Further more, for the teachers, it also updates teaching philosophy and rolesof the teachers, improving the teachers’ professional development during the research.However, because there remain limitations to the extent of the author’s current knowledge,limitations of the research in the scope of the research, the participants, technology etc alsoexist in the study. Some reasonable suggestions for the follow-up research are also putforward about autonomous learning plans of English revision lesson in Senior High SchoolIn a nutshell,implementation of the autonomous learning plans of English revisionlesson in Senior High School both conducive to the implementation of the autonomous statusof students and to update the traditional philosophy of education. In other words, the researchshows that this teaching model is worth adopting. However, the implementation of theautonomous learning plans of English revision lesson in Senior High School is a systemsengineering, not overnight. It needs to continue to explore and to maximize teachingeffectiveness. |
