Family is the first place where everyone acquires knowledge andaccepts moral education in their life. It plays an important rolein one’s growth and has far-reaching impact on the formation ofmorality and personality of the children.With the further enrich and perfect of the family moral educationsystem, it gradually from the simple moral education on childrenextends to children’s social morality education, environmentaleducation and discipline education etc. Family moral education ofdifferent countries generally begins with tiny things. Pay attentionto the culture of details, no matter what the moral goal is, itultimately implemented in the development of family moral education.Many scholars arrival at a conclusion through investigation andresearch. It has great far-reaching impact on children’s physicaland mental development. Some parents lack of taking the initiativeto understand children’s psychology and lost a good method ofchildren’s education. The most prominent problem is the moraleducation problem of the only child. Parents often take its course.And the parents go along the road of spoiling their children. Thekind of education has largely negative impact on the development of the child. Now, the social from all walks of life has come aboutwidespread concern on the phenomenon. All recommend that everyfamily should establish a correct concept of family moral education,improve the way of moral education and the parents’ moral quality.In order to promote family’s harmony, social stability and nationalunity.All the countries in the world pay attention to the family moraleducation of the child and youth. But there are differences in manyaspects. For example, behavior, ways of thinking and values etc.Treat rightly the differences, and it plays a key role in improvingparents’ concept of moral education and promoting the healthydevelopment of family moral education.By using the method of literature analysis and comparative study,the family moral education of different social systems andbackgrounds are compared and studied. The differences are analyzedand common points and personalized points are found. And thenexperiences which are available for our country are summed up. Thispaper is divided into six sections. The first chapter is introduction.The second chapter is the overview of family moral education of Chinaand America. It mainly expounds on the family moral education and analyses background of China and America. Third chapter is thecomparison of the purpose of family moral education between Chinaand America. Explore the basic purpose of the family moral educationin China and the United States. Compare similarities and differencesand find out the reasons for the differences. Fourth chapter, themethod comparison of family moral education between China and America.The main way of family moral education in China and the United Stateswere analyzed. To identify the personality and analyze the reasonof differences. Fifth chapter, environment comparison of familymoral education between China and America. Discuss four main aspects:the mass media environment, family environment, school environmentand peer group environment. Sixth chapter, gain the enlightenment.In view of our country family moral education deficiency, drawlessons from American family moral education. To optimize thinkingof family moral education in China, in order to train more talentedpeople who have competitive consciousness in new era.
