English is an important tool to search information and communication. In theprocess of learning a foreign language, people could not obtain a large amount ofinformation slowly, must be well in English reading. The English reading ability has agreat role for a person’s development; it affects our accepting and understanding theinformation directly.In China, the Teaching of English Reading has a very important role in the wholeof English Teaching. In2001June," the outline of basic education curriculum reform(Trial)" put forward higher requirements on junior middle school students’ readingability, also on the teachers in English Reading Teaching. But with the Englishreading teaching the importance of the teaching of English reading, but there aremany serious problems. The traditional English reading teaching methods revealedsome problems now. Thankfully, there have been studies scholars on junior middleschool English reading teaching problem and countermeasure to undertake researchand exploration. On the basis of research, this paper using the method of questionnaire,on the basis of the main problems, analyzed and summarized and put forwardcorresponding settlement measures.
