Under the background of the new curriculum, Geography curriculum standard pointed out:“advocating autonomous learning, inquiry learning and cooperative learningâ€. Cooperativelearning refers to the students have a clear division of responsibilities in mutual learning inorder to complete common tasks. Cooperative learning encourages students to work togetherfor collective and individual interests, and achieves their goals and ideals in the completion ofthe common tasks.Cooperative learning has attracted more and more attention since the new course reform.Numerous geography teachers had a lot of beneficial exploration in this respect. Based on theoriginal theory, it has got the constant development and perfection in the teaching application.It improve constantly that the implementation of cooperative learning teaching methods, andit significantly improve the quality of teaching. The author of this exploration and manyteachers believe that cooperative learning can improve students’ comprehensive quality, in thesame time, it has an important role in the development of new geography curriculum reform.It can arouse students’ studying activeness and cultivate students’ cooperation consciousness,innovation consciousness, competition consciousness and the understanding ability ofgeography basic concepts, but there are some problems in the implementation of cooperativelearning ‘s teaching practices:Students’ cooperation is not active; Groups’ members of sync results in wasted time andlearning gap in the classroom cooperative learning; The teachers don’t grasp scientifically thereal implementation of cooperative learning; Generalize the applicable conditions ofcooperative learning; Neglect the importance of teachers in cooperative learning; Theteachers’ evaluation of classroom cooperative learning is not full.Therefore, this paper does the effectiveness of cooperative learning research in highschool geography class, with the literature review method, survey method, and case teachingmethod and so on. Through the theoretical analysis of cooperative learning and the practiceresearch of cooperative learning in the teaching, it summarizes the basic theory of cooperativelearning and the principles of operation, inducts and analyses the problems arising in the geography cooperative learning. It also pointed out: the geography teachers should master thestrategy of dividing groups, teachers should make their roles clear in cooperative learning,teachers should choose suitable topics for cooperative learning, teachers should guide andencourage the cooperative learning, and teachers should make a full evaluation to thecooperative learning groups and individuals and put forward corresponding strategies. As aresult, it will improve the effectiveness of cooperative learning, stimulate students’ interestand thirst for knowledge in geography and promote the comprehensive qualities of students. Itwill provide theoretical and practical basis for the further research of improving thecooperative learning effectiveness in high school geography classroom. |
