Since2008, the first group of the "90s"students have entered the college, the "90s"college students have completely become the main part of the campus, and naturally they become the main research object of the contemporary college ideological and political education. Each era has its own characteristics, and as the most dynamic crowd of each era, with their distinctive personality, the college students deeply branded its era characteristics. The "90s"students may inject the fresh blood of the campus, but also bring great challenge to the college ideological and political education.As the ideological and political education workers, we must clearly grasp the "90s"students’ideological state, know the new characteristics revealed in the era of political attitude, moral cultivation and value orientation, analyze its deep cause, and cultivate them as qualified builders and successors of Chinese characteristics socialism construction.This thesis aims to analyze the "90s"students ideological characteristics, combing the features of its time, explore the new path of college ideological and political education whose main part is "90s"college students, and strengthen and improve the college ideological and political education.There are four chapters in this paper. The first chapter describes the background and significance of the study, the purpose of the research, the writing method, analyzes the research states at home and abroad, and point out the innovation and difficulty of this paper.The second chapter carefully describes the ideological features of the "90s"college students. They are not only with individual personality, open and active thinking, long-term personal goals and innovative courage, but also with light collective idea, strong utilitarian, and weak psychological resilience. And then it analyzes the impacts of "90s"college students’ideological features from three aspects: the family education, the school education and the time background.The third chapter analyzes the development condition of the current college ideological and political education. There is no doubt that the college ideological and political education has made great achievements, but also we need to admit that there are some deficiencies in education concept, education environment, education content and etc., especially for the "90s"college students’ideological characteristics. The negative impact of the social reality, the complex and changing education environment, and the own development lag of ideological and political education make the ideological and political education face a lot of problems and difficulties.The fourth chapter, as the most important part of this paper, combined with the analyses up, sums up the ways of college ideological and political education, which is be of theory and practice guiding meaning for the "90s"college students. These include four aspects:optimizing the education environment, improving education mode, perfect education from, rich education content as well as strengthening the college ideological and political education team.
