Experiential teaching in reading is an innovative teachingpattern that emphasizes the students are the main objective inlearning. In the process of teaching, it attaches greatimportance to give play to the subjective initiative of the mainpart namely, students. The pattern also encourages students tostudy autonomously, to construct the knowledge system of theirown, and to grasp the main idea of the passage positively. Inthe learning experience, the purpose is to unify and sublimatethe perception, affection and meaning. Experiential teachingin reading has been paid close attention to by the teachingfield for many years, especially in modern and present times,it gradually becomes a significant project studied andpracticed by the researchers and teachers around the world. Tothis project, there have been various discussions andresearches, which have laid some foundation in the aspect oftheory and practice. On the basis of the previous researches,this article aims to explore some specific strategies andmethods to application of the literal teaching reading injunior high school.In the first place, this treatise set forth theexperiential teaching pattern. Then it explains the meaning ofexperience as well as experiential teaching. And based on this,the author’s definition of that is: the experiential teachingof reading Chinese is that the educator guide students to useall their mind and intelligence to feel, understand, to valueand pay attention to the reading text, with the combination oftheir own experience, they could make the originally strange,external reading objects become very familiar, which will bea teaching activity that can integrate smoothly into our mind.And then it elaborates the theoretical basis of the experiential teaching in reading. Afterwards, it also studiesthe background of experiential teaching in reading in juniorhigh school: the reform of the new curriculum requiresexperiential teaching. Besides, literal teaching of readingclassrooms in modern times is also in need of experientialteaching.Secondly, as regard to the phenomenon of "three centers"in traditional teaching mode, namely: teacher-centered,student-centered and book-centered. It should be pointed outthat experiential teaching in reading is centered on thecognitive subject of students and it focuses the teachingconcern points on the subject of students. When in the processof carry out the experiential teaching in reading, teachersshould pay attention to the first experience of reading,reading demands and personal experience of the students.Finally, we did some research in junior high school aboutthe strategy and method of experiential teaching in reading.The author came up with some methods in experiential teachingin reading. Such as create a situation in experience and movethe soul of the students, rooted in the recite of the books andarouse the feelings of the students, the usage of literal andhistorical materials and give rise to the resonance, expand thepractice in writing and strength the experience of the students.In the real teaching class of Chinese reading, teacher may takethe most proper method to guide them in experiencing accordingto specific circumstances, which will make the studentsgenerate the feeling resonance with books and author. In thisway the experience will come to the best state and the goal ofimproving the reading ability and literal attainment would alsobe achieved.Besides, our teaching in reading will come to thebest efficiency and effects as well.
