The Research On Residents’ Subjective Quality Of Life At The Background Of Xi’an And Xianyang Integration

Human society advocates “people-oriented”, it requires to concern about residents’quality of life and life needs, to take improving residents’living standards and quality oflife as the fundamental purpose of economic development, as building a moderatelyprosperous societies’ starting point and ending point. At the end of2002, Xi’an andXianyang which are the most dynamic growth poles of Guanzhong economic zone andthe western developing bridgehead firstly proposed two cities’ integration. Since theintegration implementation of Xi’an and Xianyang, the local residents’ living conditionshave been significantly improved, and many positive results have been achieved.However, how the two city residents’ subjective quality of life in family, work, ecology,resources, employment and other specific areas of life are, whether difference are exitedbetween them, how the effectiveness of specific initiatives are, further exploration andresearch are required to solve these problems.First of all, based on the United States, Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, Chinaand other foreign scholars of urban residents’ subjective quality indicators of life,combined with Xi’an and Xianyang actual situation, An evaluation system for Xi’an andXianyang residents’subjective quality of life is constructed, and factor analysis is usedto test it.Secondly, according to the index system, descriptive analysis, contingency tableanalysis, factor analysis are used to make analysis and evaluation on the two cityresidents’ subjective quality of life; independent samples T-test, analysis of variancemethod are used to analysis the differences of affecting the subjective quality of life’sfactors in demographic variables; correlation analysis, descriptive analysis, varianceanalysis and other multivariate statistical methods are used to make horizontalcomparison between Xi’an and Xianyang, to analysis the current situation anddifferences between regional and affecting the subjective quality of life’s factors.Ultimately, the following conclusions are reached:(1) Xi’an and Xianyang residents’ whole subjective life satisfaction average is3.16points, which lies between the general level and high level, the two city urban residents’subjective quality of life is a bit higher than the middle level. (2) Differences are exited among different ages, educational levels and otherdemographic variables in Xi’an and Xianyang residents’ subjective quality of life.(3) The two city residents’ overall subjective quality of life lies in the same level,but differences are exited in six specific areas and30specific factors’ score and sort.(4) Because of different regions, differences on two city residents’ cognitive andsort of factors which affect the subjective quality of life are exited.This paper constructed an evaluation system for Xi’an and Xianyang residents’subjective quality of life, analysised the current situation and influencing factors of thethe two city residents’ subjective quality of life, and made correlation analysis inresidents’ life status and different regions influenting factors. This paper extended thesubjective quality of life’s object and category, and also provided a reference andlearning for relevant departments to further improve Xi’an and Xianyang residents’subjective quality of life.
