Because our countryside has not been set up in most of formal social endowmentinsurance system, and, as the rural family structure change and village life change, thetraditional family endowment faces significant challenges, the rural elderly groupelderly poverty problems facing. Therefore, in order to understand the rural poor oldman social support and the status of constructing the effective social support system,the author did the study. This no doubt is a powerful echo of objective reality, but alsoof the relevant theory of beneficial supplement and complete.This study used qualitative research methods, TianShui in GanSu province Yvillage12rural poverty of elderly people in the study object, a comprehensiveanalysis of the formal social support system and family, neighborhood, relatives,friends, community, village cadres and other informal social support and subject topoor rural elderly support, and look forward to on the construction of ruralimpoverished elderly social support network has certain reference significance.
