| Outward Bound is popular around the world for fifty years. Since it came toChina in1995, it has been accepted, enjoyed and praised as a model of fashionableactivity. It played a good role on promoting individual development and teamdevelopment. However, in view of the current situation of whole outward bondtraining, there are big problems in its utility, and the timing effect is hard to estimate.The thesis belongs to the applied research, mainly using the methodologies ofethnography to survey the whole process of companies’ outward bound and selectsome trainees to follow up, aiming at finding the change pattern on attenuation of itsutility. We can find the main reason and suitable solution on its attenuation of utility,to maximize the effectiveness and expand the most value to training company andparticipating company.Besides, it is an attempt to use the methodologies of ethnography on migrantpopulation in the thesis. The findings suggested that Outward Bound plays animportant part in the growth of individual, enterprises and society. The weakeningeffect of outward bound appears to be regular, specially to the inconformity of cycle,freshness date is weaken rapidly after half a month; the attenuation of its utility isinfluenced by training company, trainees company, individual differences and so on.Meanwhile, the methodologies of ethnography can be applied to study on themigrants.Finally, according to the conclusion, the thesis analysised some shortcomingsand improvements of the survey, and pointed out the study directing in the future. |
