A110m hurdle is a short distance race with high technique and complex movements, which requires the high sports quality of players. The study on110m handles has always been one of the most popular topics in the sport research field both in domestic and foreign. Modern competitive sports is distinct from previous sports in the way that it is the established under the background of science and technology in the active penetration, the scientific training we advocated is not only the scientific selection, systematic training, but more important is to put forward effective monitoring and diagnosis on training effects of the implementation in the training process of athletes. At present, both domestic and foreign outstanding110m hurdlers are more and more meticulous and rationalization on their skills and the level of competition is also getting close to the athletes’physiological limit. Therefore, further study of mutual relations among aspects of competitive abilities and correctly grasp the development directions and rules are the basis to construct a more excellent athlete competitive ability structure model to promote the athletic level. As is known, only the correct understanding and grasping the110m hurdles characteristics can make the scientific and rational choice of training methods to gain good training effects, to achieve the expected goals.Therefore, this thesis takes the high level athletes both in domestic and foreign110m hurdles in different periods of history as the research objects, and adopts the research methods of literature study review, comparison and mathematical statistics to deeply analyze the structure features and relationships among aspects of the athlete competitive abilities. Besides, based on this analysis, the development trend of110m hurdles is discussed to propose training theories and reference point for athletes’ scientific training and continuously improvement on the sports level. The main conclusions are:1. Physical fitness characteristics of110m hurdle athletes shows that in sports quality, speed and strength, displacement and frequency of disease are on the core position; acceleration and speed endurance are the key points; sound, action ability, the capacity of maximum strength, endurance and flexibility and coordination are based feature. In characteristics of energy supply, phosphate system takes up the main part, and glycolysis is complementary. In physical aspects of numerical characteristics, players’ ideal height, weight and Quetelet index are as follows respectively:185±7cm、77±11kg、415±61.2.110m Hurdle Athletes’skills are characterized as:hurdle actively, bar shear cutter speed, physical vacated immediately after the pressure swing leg, the lower bar and running between the hurdles are closely linked, to run the entire process techniques for coherent, strong sense of rhythm and speed endurance, the hurdle step by step tend to shorten, ran across, cross Ran binding capacity can be enhanced.3.110m Hurdle Athletes psychological and intelligent features:decisive action, paying attention to actual effect, rapid response, quick thinking, strong will, confident and aggressive, simple and straightforward, dare to struggle, good psychological regulation ability.4. Athletes’skills, interaction between the two core competitive capabilities of physical fitness are the basis to continuously improve their grades and skills and the physical fitness tend to the reasonable development process throughout the110m hurdles. In addition, the evolution of contest rules and field of hurdle item has also played a certain role in special athletic level of development.5. Current110m hurdles scores have tended to the human physiological limit. If new breakthrough is wanted, the features of competitive abilities are neither technical nor physical type, but the perfect combination of both physical and technical.6.110m Hurdle Athletes competitive ability training trend:diversification of athlete selection approach; specialization of early training content; identify special after exercise training for special sex is stronger; small cycle, combat and the active recovery after training is an important method to maintain long-term competitive level.Suggestions:1. Athletes in the early training should make full use of the different characteristics in various projects to train all aspects of qualities in the special need of athletes.2. Selection approach should be transferred to crossing selection of materials among different items based on conventional ones.3. Take the sports features of physical type or technical type as reference point to the special training target and training plan of athletes and consciously strengthen and perfect the structure of athletic abilities.4.110m hurdles athletes is taking fast moving extreme sports in no-oxy-gum state for 12s to14s, while the original phosphate energy supply systems can only maintain athletes6s-8s time. Therefore, in the training process, both the original system of phosphoric acid ability and glycolysis system ability training should not be ignored, that is to say, there must be a certain proportion of longer than10s speed endurance training.5. Changing the training thoughts of the coaches in the training of the concept. The value of compensation theory phenomenon will gradually fade, the phenomenon of "heterogeneous with work" by advantage factors on the disadvantage factors compensation will be broken to construct a reasonable athletic ability structure, which become the main trend of training. On the athletes’ training in thoughts, from the structure of the whole competitive ability system, sufficient attention to the relationships among the sub competitive abilities should be paid so as to take more scientific and systematic training.
