In the actual work of teaching, there are two key issues that teachersoften encounter. One is how to know the ability of the students by theirtest score. The other one is how to compare the score of two differenttests. To solve these problems, someone should use the educational andpsychological measurement theory to statistical analysis of test scores.The educational and psychological measurement theory includes ClassicalTest Theory, Generalizability Theory, and Item Response Theory. On theone hand, this thesis takes the English reading ability of Tao Yuan middleschool students in grade eight as measured object, and preparing two testsbase on relevant theoretical approaches for all the students in thebeginning and end of the semester, then compare the results which the CTTand IRT do with the scores of the two tests. After that, the two test scoreswill be compared base on the IRT. On the other hand, to interview theteachers who accept the training of the IRT to check the application ofIRT. At last, makes the conclusion of the two aspects to study theapplication of IRT, and to look forward the development prospects of IRT. |
