Content:The school sports is an important part of school education, undertakes the task of cultivating students’ all-round development mission, to enhance the people’s physique, improve the general quality of the whole nation has important significance. While the school sports teaching present situation and directly related to the development of school sports. Therefore, the school sports teaching present situation investigation on school sports and the healthy development of school education plays a very important role. In this paper, using the method of literature, questionnaire method and so on to Shanxi province Linfen City180middle school sports teaching, extracurricular sports activities, and training teachers, site equipment status were investigated, and a random sample of30secondary500students and120teachers of physical education conducted a questionnaire survey. The survey results showed:30junior high schools, the school of physical education teaching management is not perfect; the leadership of the school of physical education teaching and insufficient attention; part of school PE class is insufficient number of full-time teachers; sports, sports equipment, sports facilities and a shortage of funds; far less than the relevant provisions of the index; the vast majority of PE Teachers’low salary; learning interest is indifferent, on the sports knowledge lack of understanding and grasp; students physical condition is not optimistic. These teaching situation seriously hindered the healthy development of the school sports, does not favor the middle school sports teaching reform further deepening. In this paper30middle school sports teaching present situation problems in the corresponding countermeasures, for the school sports development to provide reference for theory basis.
