With the development of the society, English is becoming more and more important, so students should learn English well and try to improve their communicative ability in English, which brings benefit for their future work and life.In rural, on the one hand, the condition of learning English is limited; on the other hand, students pay less attention to English learning, so that many boys can’t learn English well. Therefore, English teaching in rural is very important. After a long time English teaching, the English teaching effect is not so good compared with that in the big city. It is mainly in English score, especially the score in excellent students in the whole, in bad communicative ability, that is to say, they have high mark but low ability of speaking English. Because of that, the writer puts forward the idea that what elements affect English teaching in rural middle schools. There are some elements that affect the English teaching effect, but among all, the management factor is the most important. So in this research, it analyzes the effective elements in management in rural middle schools with investigation, interview, observation, case analysis and so on.The research consists of four parts. The first part is introduction. It is about the problem, the purpose, the meaning, the ways and related literature view The second part is about the survey results of English teaching effect in one of the middle schools in Nansha. The third part is about the analysis of the management elements from the school factors and outside school factors, including the inefficient classroom management mode, not democratic school management mode, unreasonable teaching evaluation mechanism, school culture instruction and teachers’ management. The fourth part is to put forward some suggestions on optimize management and improving the teaching effects in rural middle schools.
