| In recent years, college students are faced with different levels of psychological stress,Their mental health problem is getting wide attention by society. Peer counseling to beintroduced to university as a valuable resource, has become an important form for mentalhealth education in colleges. However, what is the effectiveness of peer counseling? how toevaluate job performance of peer counselors? These issues have been difficult to solve. Thispaper is going to study the performance evaluation model of peer counselors in college, whichcombines the characteristics of peer counselors, detailed and quantified evaluation methodsthrough a rich and comprehensive appraisal of the content.The performance evaluation system includes educational evaluation theory, humanresource management theory, motivation theory and expectancy theory----Health. Thesetheories and ideas showed it is entirely feasible to build performance evaluation of peercounselors in the university. The author establish the performance evaluation system of peercounselors according to the connotation of the construction of college students’ peercounseling. Firstly, establishing the principle of counselor performance evaluation, alsonamely the principle of scientific, simple, effectveness and implementation. Secondly,designing the layers of hierarchy the program model composed of the decision-making,guidelines layers and scheme layers as well as the evaluation index system of evaluationcomposed of the four-level indicators, fifteen formation of secondary indicators ofperformance. Thirdly, determining the performance evaluation model and the target weight.And using analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to evaluate and make decision, and it can bedivided into the following four steps: building the hierarchical model,constructing thejudgment matrix,sorting the single level, checking the consistency and sorting the total level.Finally, the paper is to analyze the problems of the current process of peer counselors inthe management, and then put forward to optimize the number of measures and methods forperformance management: ensure personnel selection, protect the human resources effectively;carry out work analysis to determine the responsibilities and rights, set feasible performance goals; assure the funds to carry out the project; establish the the feedback mechanism ofperformance.
