This article is in the foundation of systematically summarizing and analyzing thedomestic and foreign research about self-concept, learning motivation and careermaturity, investigating1600college students from eight high schools of Hei LongjiangProvince on self-concept, learning motivation and career maturity. Factor analysis wasused to explore the structure of the college students’ learning motivation, ANOVA wasused to understand the development situation of college students’ self-concept, learningmotivation and career maturity, at the same time correlation methods, the multielementregression analysis and the linear structural relation model was employed to find out therelationships among these three aspects.The results are shown as follows:(1) Grade difference is significant inself-concept as indexed by total score, communication, kindness, ambition, family andmaturity; Gender difference is found in self-concept as indexed by communication,kindness, maturity and self-acceptance; Part-time experience difference is alsosignificant in self-concept as indexed by total score, communication and ambition.(2)Grade difference is significant in learning motivation as indexed by academicrequirement, material life and learning interest; Gender difference is significant inlearning motivation as indexed by total score, academic requirement, material life andachievement popularity; Part-time experience difference is also significant in learningmotivation as indexed by achievement popularity and learning interest;(3) Gradedifference is significant in career maturity as indexed by total score, career confidence,career value and relative dependant; Gender difference is significant in career maturityas indexed by total score, career objective and career independence; Part-timeexperience difference is also significant in career maturity as indexed by careerobjective and career reference.(4) There is remarkable correlation among collegestudents’ self-concept, learning motivation and career maturity.(5) The factors ofself-concept can forecast career maturity as well as its factors.(6) The learningmotivation plays the partial mediation role in the relation of self-concept and careermaturity. Based on empirical study, this research adopts the theory of self-concept, learningmotivation and career counseling to put forward relevant countermeasure of improvingcareer maturity level, which will not only provide a reference for directive careercounseling practice of government and high school, but also help college students todevelop their own career planning capabilities.
