The Research On Characteristics Of Technique And Strategies Of World Women Elite Tennis Players’ Serve-return

Serve and serve-return is the beginning of each point. Both of them are very important. In this paper, it is depending on the main factors of the serve-return, to explore the characters and law pattern of world women tennis players’serve-return. By comparing the strategies on utilization rate and point won issue of the placement, line on first and second serve-return. The main purpose is to reveal the pattern and the characteristics of serve-return. In conclusion, the research is to summarize the characters of serve-return technical and tactical of female elite tennis players.In terms of literature study, expert interyiews, video observation, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis and by using of the tennis technique and tactics data collection and intelligent system to analysis the eight of top ten female tennis players. The result as follows:1The usage of backhand technique is higher than forehand attack on first and second serve-return on the Ist and2nd serve and in the deuce court and advantage court.2The way of the1st serve-return is mainly use slice and defensive stroke, the2nd serve-return is principal use forehand and backhand stroke.3The way to reserve the inside corners, middle road and outer corners serve are mainly use forehand and backhand stroke, followed by slice and defensive stroke.4The highest use of serve-return on first shot is back up to the middle road. The scoring average of reserve to the left and right area is higher than the middle road. The line of the second shot of serve-return is mainly use left area to middle road, right area to left area, middle road to middle road. The way to back up to left area to left area, right area to right area and middle road to left area have the highest winning point than other Jines.The best use of3rd shot line combination of serve-return are middle road-right area-left area, middle road-left area-right area, middle road-right area-right area, middle road-middle road-left area, left area-middle road-left area, left area-left area-right area.5The way to serve-return is mainly played to the deep court and midfield. The score average of the balls were played to midfield on1st serve-return is higher than2nd serve-return.6Overall, the scoring rate of1st serve-return is lower than the rate of2nd serve-return. Forehand win significantly more points than backhand in breaking point won. The ball were played to left area on1st serve-return have won the highest score than other areas. The balls were played to left and right areas have won highest points than middle road. The score rate of the balls was hilted to the middle road and left areas are higher than right area on break points save.
