Ethnic relationship has always been a hot topic in academic circles,and also beenkey issue concerning national security.China is a united multinational village, whoseethnic relationship is very complicated, especially in tribal group mixing regions.Once different ethnic groups coexist for a long time,a variety of problems are boundto happen, causing ethnic conflicts at the same time,especially when nations competefor limited resources and protect their own interests,which seriously affectrelationships between ethnics. With the further progress of urbanization, ethnicrelationship shows new features.This paper takes Jarul village,Jiggish town,Xunhua county, Qinghai province,amultiethnic coexisting village, for an example, discussing the two most importantfactors of which mainly affect Jarul village’s ethnics relationship:national emergenciesand vying for land at the time of transition,with the theories of collectivememory,history reconstruction, ethnic identity and so on,meanwhile analyzing theevolution of ethnic relationships of the village.Moreover the paper presents readerswith the developing process from a national unity village to a frequent ethniccontradictions,ethnic relationships deteriorating village.This paper through inquiring the evolution process of the Jarul village’s ethnicsrelationships reveals the root causes,such as dispute over interest, ethnicconsciousness and the constantly enhancing ethnic identity behind unexpected eventsof ethnical areas, provides a reference for researchers better understandingemergencies.In addition,it elaborates issues of ethnic issues in multiethnic mixedregions and impacts caused by the land dispute on ethnic relationship in today’surbanization process, from which we can learn about that Jarul village’s populationwill be constantly changing, followed by it ethnic relationship will be reorganized andJarul village’s ethnic relationship will become more complex and diverse.
